New to Christ Church?
Christ Church, a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina, welcomes all people. Our worship of God follows the Book of Common Prayer with the Holy Eucharist as central to our worship.
Interested in membership?
Please make yourself known to one of the clergy, or fill out a welcome card found on the back of the pews in the church. On Sundays a Welcome Table in the lobby is manned by members of the Welcome Committee who answer questions and provide information to visitors. We also invite you to attend a "Welcome Coffee" to learn more about our parish family. These informal events are held quarterly in the parlor following a Sunday worship service.
Ready to join Christ Church?
For those who have never been an Episcopalian or have never been baptized, we offer membership classes annually. New Episcopalians are then baptized and/or confirmed by the bishop at a special service. Of course, baptisms take place on other Sundays throughout the year.
If you are an Episcopalian, please request that your Letter of Transfer be sent to Christ Church from your former parish. in the church office will be pleased to assist you. You will also need to attend the "Life at Christ Church" classes, held annually to acquaint new members with Christ Church and assist them in becoming fully engaged in the life of our parish. To become involved in parish volunteer activities, contact Parish Life Coordinator, at the church.
