Youth Ministry Mission Statement
The Youth Ministry of Christ Church embraces and supports our youth and their families, inspires and guides their spiritual growth as disciples of Christ, and empowers them to serve the church and the world.

Sixth Grade: Worship
Topics covered: church vocabulary; church seasons; sacraments; Book of Common Prayer; acolyte training; junior ushering and junior altar guild
Trip: Trinity Center Retreat (November)
Liturgical milestone: Commissioning of New Acolytes
Seventh Grade: Scripture and Prayer
Topics covered: Old Testament; New Testament; learning to pray
Eighth Grade: Journey of Faith
Topics covered: Luke Bible study (fall); My Faith, My Life confirmation curriculum (spring)
Trip: Urban Excursion to Washington, D.C. The Pilgrimage Center (February)
Liturgical milestone: Confirmation
Ninth Grade: Living into Faith Everyday (LIFE)
Topics covered: talking about faith and living as a Christian community
Tenth Grade: Mission in Motion
Topics covered: understanding and acting on the gospel’s call to serve others; developing mission projects in the local community; practicing various ministries in the church
Trip: Summer Mission (every other year, usually in June)
Liturgical milestone: Commissioning of Mission Team
Eleventh/Twelfth Grade: Faith Applied
Topics covered: discussing current events from a faith perspective; applying faith in the process of decision making; strengthening faith for the journey beyond Christ Church
Trip: Summer Pilgrimage/Alternative Spring Break Mission Trip

Episcopal Youth Community (EYC)
EYC supplements the Sunday School program by providing fellowship and outreach activities to create a peer-based community, featuring open dialogue about faith and spirituality and opportunities for ministry in the church as well as the broader Raleigh community. EYC takes place on Sunday nights and allows for the different grades to join together.
Pre-EYC (6th grade)
Will meet one Sunday per month (fall)
Joins Jr.EYC each week in January
Jr. EYC (7th – 8th grades)
5:30 – 6:30 pm
EYC Dinners (7th – 12th grades)
6:30 – 7:00 pm
Sr. EYC ( 9th – 12th grades)
